Call me Andy. I am a 36 year-old Italian guy who has recently re-discovered his long lost passion for programming and, in particular, for C++. I am interested in everything about C++, from best practices to libraries to the evolution of the language and the Standard; I hope that one day C++ will become a richer (library-wise) and simpler (standard-wise) tool for more effective programming.
I work as a software engineer in FEI Company, in Czech Republic (www.fei.com), where I write C++ software on Windows platforms (despite VS2013's attempts to stop me) for controlling electron microscopes; I am a strong supporter of Test-Driven Development and unit testing.
